The Universe’s Ballad

By: Carina Urbani

A piece of stardust falls aimless,
circling in an endless tussle;
floating near fields of bittercress,
watching the unfaltering rustle.
Moving along the airy breath,
dancing to the murmurs of the wind.

To gaze at the dotted black skies,
and land divided by horizon;
connect the universe’s eyes,
then draw the divine designs like none.
Swaying with rhythmic river tides,
dancing to the melodic soundwaves.

Ties nature in equal pitched notes,
creating calming duet partners;
a journey filled with anecdotes,
unlikely friendships in bounded blurs.
Pools of water mirrored the stardust,
dancing to the swirls of milky skies.

“I lived in passing solitude,
before my otherworldly travels;
found friends in higher altitude,
unaware of new joys unravelled.
I learned of life and dreams alike,
and discovered one truth valid;
to meet the wonders of nature,
is to dance the universe’s ballad.”
